Stokes Bay Velo – Saturday at 2pm
The objective is to extend the social bike rides for members and provide help getting fitter, prepare for Sportives or charity rides, or just for go for a social ride. Rides will take place on Saturday afternoons with a 1400 meet time at the Club with two road riding groups:
- A shorter slower ride of about an hour. Typical routes to Lee, Titchfield Haven or out and back up the Eclipse bus route.
- A longer faster rider of between 1.5 and 2+ hours. Typical routes up the Meon valley to Droxford, Warsash or similar with potential for a cafe stop.

We could extend to an off-road group, and evening rides in the summer, which would add variety.

For our first away fixture, the Isle of Wight Randonnee is an ideal day out for all types of rider. It takes place on Sunday 5th May with a full circuit of the Island at 100km, or a shorter route of 55km, both clockwise with excellent tea and cake stops. The event is free, but places are limited to 1,500 and registration is available until 21st April. http://www.cycleisland.co.uk/
