The membership year runs from the 1st February each year and we welcome new members throughout (pending approval by the Management Committee). Occasionally, reduced rates may be made available towards the end of a membership year – please contact the Club Administrator for details.
There are a number of different membership categories available – family membership, full sailing membership, social membership, water-sports membership, youth membership and cadet membership.
Social and Water-sports members are not required to do club duties. However, we encourage our members to get involved in the club and help out in a number of different ways and currently we have several members who enjoy helping with racing duties and a number of other members involved in other aspects of the club.
Water-sports membership is a new category this year which gives kayakers, paddelboarders, wing-foilers, swimmers and wind-surfers access to club showers and changing facilities, use of the external hoses for equipment, an external air pump and full use of the galley, bar and all social events.
Our Winter Series are open to members of other clubs which allows those ‘hardy’ sailors to continue to sail after their own club has closed for the winter. Please find the entry form HERE
The Club’s Rules and Byelaws are applicable to everyone sailing and using Stokes Bay Sailing Club.
